At Synergy, we’re committed to supporting the community that supports us.

In 2015 we established the Synergy Charity and Community group to identify worthwhile charitable and community causes in Canberra where we can make a difference.

One of these was the Tara Costigan Foundation.

On 28 February 2015, Tara Maree Costigan was killed by her former partner.

Two women are killed in Australia each week as a result of family violence. While Tara is just one of those women, the circumstances of her death have led to her becoming a symbol of both grief and hope.

The community response and demand for change has led to the formation of a positive legacy and the establishment of the unique ’Tara’s Angels’ caseworker service that supports victims for up to two years as they rebuild their lives and break the cycle of violence.

While Tara will always remain the central personality and symbol of TCF, and a driving force behind the foundation, Tara now represents all women, children and men that have lost their lives or had their concept of love and safety in a family environment shattered.

Synergy is delighted to sponsor the Tara Costigan Foundation by purchasing a table at the Angel Gala Ball in Canberra on 5 August.

The Inaugural Angel Gala Ball is a night to honour the memory of Tara, celebrate the strength of survivors of family and domestic violence, and raise much needed funds for the Tara’s Angels service.

The evening includes a three course meal and drinks, live entertainment, raffles, auctions and a few surprises.

We’re proud to support such a vital cause and our Synergites are looking forward to a night of delicious food and wonderful entertainment.
