Synergy Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Antonia (Toni) Marzulli as CEO, effective from 17 January 2022. Toni was chosen following a rigorous and highly competitive selection process conducted by executive search firm Robert Half.
We are excited to have Toni join our team and are incredibly fortunate to have attracted someone of her calibre, Toni is an outstanding choice who brings to Synergy an amazing wealth of experience from a business perspective and a diverse background ranging from the scientific to the commercial world.
Toni has a 25 year career history within the US, UK and Australia and immediately prior to joining Synergy was a Partner at IBM, responsible for the Australia/New Zealand Hybrid Cloud Transformation and Cyber capabilities, where she led initiatives across multiple Commonwealth agencies. Toni was also the Diversity and Inclusion Executive for IBM – ANZ, instilling an environment of respect and acceptance for all.
Prior to IBM Toni was a senior executive with Leidos Australia where she oversaw highly complex program execution and sensitive client engagements, as well as leading significant projects to build internal corporate culture and capability.
Toni’s other senior executive roles include Lockheed Martin, where she was responsible for strategic development and multiple research and development portfolios and was a biochemist researcher and team leader at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals.
From the outset we were adamant that a new CEO needed to not only drive Synergy’s core business but was also someone who reflected our core values and challenged assumptions. Toni’s energy, enthusiasm commitment to learning, combined with her natural curiosity will be key elements driving Synergy’s next phase of growth.
Speaking about her appointment, Ms. Marzulli said she was thrilled to be taking on the role.
