And that's the final whitle! We've wrapped up our first season as the Official  Naming Partner of the Canberra Chill and what a season it has been.

The Synergy Group Power

From supporting in the stands, to Synergy Group on the front and centre signage, to powering high performance - it's been a jam-packed season.

Our journey with the Canberra Chill began by attending the launch of the 2022/23 Hockey season, connecting with the Chill's players and management team, and annoucning our sponsorship of the talented number 24, Sarah White.

As the season hit full swing, we got amongst the action and enjoyed the home games from the stands.  The games never disappointed as each player always left it all on the pitch. We brought the Synergy Group community on the journey with us by sharing behind the scenes shots throughout the season.

Exploring Pathways to Performance

Towards the end of the season, our partnership with the Canberra Chill was strengthened as we became their official Naming Rights Partner. Along with this, we were privileged to be given the opportunity to explore the life and mind of Chill player and Hockey Olympic Champion, Andrew Charter.

In a live Q&A event, we explored the power of high performance through the lens of a world champion, and uncovered how Andrew balances professional sport, work and life.

Andrew shared his experiences playing professional hockey including his strategies to building the capabilities of his teammates and how he has utilised his learnings on the hockey field in a corporate setting.

Our Synergy Group staff enjoyed a drink or two whilst they listened to Andrew’s Q&A – what better way to spend a Friday afternoon.

It was fascinating to uncover Andrew’s strategies to maximise capability both on the field and in the workplace. He shared insights around uplifting both his team and workmates, and how he uses his learnings from the hockey field in a corporate setting.

Speaking of Synergy Group’s support throughout the season, Hockey ACT CEO, Rob Sheekey, reflected on the season highlights both on and off the field.

The Canberra Chill: Powered by Synergy Group, are extremely pleased with the outcome of the Season Two of the Hockey One League. While disappointed to not collect a medal in the tournament, the Chill take so many positives from the season. On the field we collected the League MVP, Coach of the Year, Rising Star of the Year and had 8 players selected into the teams of the year. Off the field the Chill supporters allowed us to break attendance records at all three games and we are proud to have the largest membership in the League, more than double our nearest franchise. All this is made possible thanks to the incredible support from Synergy Group.

We truly value working in partnership with an organisation that shares our values, supports our goals and wants to see the Canberra Hockey Community achieve and thrive, from participation to performance.”

We play with impact

At Synergy Group, we do things differently. Our sponsorship has had a lasting impact on and off the field. We bring our passion, capability, and professional services to uplift our community.

We look forward to continuing to support Hockey ACT throughout the off-season through capability uplift, continuous development opportunities and local community involvement.

At all levels of the game, we’re here to provide support to elevate hockey in Canberra.
