Senior Manager - Project & Program Management

Synergy Group is looking for an experienced Senior Manager who can do more than manage a project plan.
  
We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between strategic advisory and hands-on delivery, lead complex Federal Government engagements, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and turn strategy into practical, measurable outcomes.
  
About the Role
You’ll lead complex projects, programs and consulting engagements from scoping and mobilisation through to implementation, transition and closure.
  
You will:

• Lead end-to-end delivery across complex Federal Government environments.
• Translate strategy into practical roadmaps, plans, governance and measurable outcomes.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies and commercial performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide confidence and clarity to senior client stakeholders.
• Develop business cases, implementation strategies, transformation roadmaps and executive recommendations.
• Identify delivery challenges early and lead project recovery or remediation where needed.
• Coach and develop others while contributing to proposals, business development and the growth of Synergy’s consulting capability.

  
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with:

• Around 8+ years’ relevant consulting, advisory, transformation or equivalent experience, including at least 5 years of substantive project or program delivery experience within Federal Government.
• A track record of personally leading complex projects or multiple workstreams through to implementation and measurable outcomes.
• Strong executive stakeholder, governance and commercial management capability.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing others.
• The ability to combine structured problem-solving and strategic thinking with pragmatic, hands-on delivery.
• Exposure to proposals, tenders, business development or client account growth.
• A relevant degree and recognised project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
• A current AGSVA Baseline clearance.
